Becoming your dream woman is about constantly challenging your way of thinking and adopting new ways. This daily pursuit of knowledge and wisdom helps you become more informed and decisive, which gets you to your dream life faster.
Here I'll share books that have helped me renew my mind over the years.
Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.
If I knew how much wisdom was hidden in The Bible, I'd have fallen in love with it sooner. It has become my favorite book. It's like a puzzle that opens up new discoveries the more you read it. All the pieces of knowledge that you'll gain from other books can be found here. I believe it is the lasting source of guidance, wisdom, and personal growth.
This is the first book I read when I gave my life to Christ back in 2013. It was the first time I felt God's love and peace, and I became so obsessed. I wanted to know everything about God. At that time, I felt like the Bible was too hard to comprehend, so God led me to this book, and it basically answered all the crazy questions I had about what it meant to live my life with purpose.
Nothing hurts more than regret, especially when you run out of time to make things right. You might feel like you have a lot of time, but in reality, you don't. This is why it is important to be intentional with how you spend each second of your life. This book is by a hospice nurse about the deep conversations she had with her patients on their regrets right before she watched them transition into the afterlife.
Your dreams are scary, I know. But they become easier to digest when you discover that it is ordinary women who do the extraordinary. In this book, Sophia Amoruso walks us through her journey to success, from being a homeless shoplifter to building the Nasty Gal brand that many of us rock today.
There's a huge disconnect between how the top 1% and the working class think. In this book, Robert Kiyosaki helps you discover how your mindset is keeping you from achieving the financial freedom you desire.
Elena Cardone is my favorite entrepreneur this year. I love her confidence, boldness, style, and, most importantly, her value for family. As an ambitious woman, you cannot afford to marry any ordinary man, especially if you want to achieve all your big dreams. It's not about choosing between family and a career; it's about choosing a partner who is secure enough to stretch himself and pave the way for your growth instead of the one who devalues you, so you can fit in his small world. In this insightful book, Elena discusses the ideal type of partner to build a life with and how you can play a crucial role in helping build your shared empire.
Raising children is hard, and finding the perfect parenting book is even harder. Well, that was until I found this one. Esther Wojcicki has not only raised 3 successful daughters. As an educator, she has helped many of her students achieve the extraordinary. Universities and top-performing companies worldwide have adopted her methods.
Do you ever find yourself engaging in patterns you can't fully grasp? If you want to break free from such behavior but feel lost about where to begin, then this book is tailor-made for you. You will embark on a journey of self-discovery and gain insights into the motives driving the actions of others. By the time you finish reading, you'll stop taking things personally because you will have a deep understanding of why people behave the way they do.
Developing authentic relationships requires strength and commitment. In his book, Ed Young outlines 50 essential qualities to consider when seeking both romantic and platonic connections, emphasizing the importance of evaluating potential partners before investing your time and emotions. It is also a quick and accessible read that can be completed in a single day.
As an entrepreneur aiming for the long-term success and sustainability of your business, it's crucial to establish a system that allows your enterprise to operate efficiently, even in your absence. This system not only facilitates the expansion of your business to multiple locations but also streamlines the process if you plan to sell your business in the future. John Warrillow's book offers invaluable insights on how to construct a business that can flourish without you.
From a life ruined by prison and seemingly headed for failure, Tony's journey takes an extraordinary turn. When he crossed paths with Malcolm, a successful businessman who frequently visited the prison, Tony's destiny shifted. In a single encounter, he made a life-altering decision – to become like Malcolm. The day Tony was released from prison, he ran to find Malcolm, Just as Malcom had instructed him.
Under Malcolm's guidance, Tony's life underwent a remarkable transformation. He not only started a business but also embraced active involvement in his local church, got married, and built a loving family. His life took a complete 180-degree turn, achieving a level of success that had once seemed unimaginable. This story walks you through Tony's and Malcom's journey as mentor and mentee, and serves as a powerful example to the impact a mentor can have on someone's life.
Are you tired of setting New Year's resolutions only to fall short of achieving them every year? If so, this book is tailor-made for you. James Clear shares effective strategies to break free from long-standing bad habits and replace them with positive ones, accelerating your journey to becoming the woman of your dreams.
We're kicking off this year once again with the Bible. As emphasized before, every piece of knowledge you'll gain from other books — whether on leadership, parenting, entrepreneurship, relationships, finance, fitness, emotional intelligence, and more — can be found in the Bible.
The Bible is not just a religious book; it's a reservoir of strategies and principles that will help you level up in every way. Reading it is like having a direct conversation with God.
Dedicate time each day to read just one chapter alongside the other books I'll be sharing throughout the year. I promise you, by the year's end, you'll be a brand new person with a renewed mindset.
In celebration of the month of love, we’ll focus on "Make it Work" by Tony Gaskins. Despite not having grown up with examples of healthy relationships, it's always possible to find guidance. God provides access to examples of thriving relationships if you're interested in building one. In his book, relationship coach, Tony Gaskins, draws from his own marriage, sharing insights into what a healthy relationship dynamic looks like. He reflects on early mistakes and how they were resolved. I wholeheartedly recommend this book for anyone seeking a healthy marriage.
Do you believe you're too far gone for God's restoration? Let me remind you, that idea is a lie from the pits of hell.
In this book, Pastor Freddie and Ninfa Garcia walk us through their incredible journey from the depths of addiction to becoming a beacon of hope and transformation. Once labeled as hopeless junkies, Pastor Freddie and Ninfa defied the odds, embracing God's grace to not only overcome their struggles but also to lead others to redemption. Through their efforts, numerous homes and churches were established across Texas, each led by individuals who were once lost to drugs but now serve as testament to the power of faith and restoration.
Do you struggle to set and reinforce your boundaries? If so, Boundaries is perfect for you. In this book, Henry Cloud and John Townsend draw on Christian principles to guide readers in establishing boundaries with others while still practicing love, as instructed by God. Also check out Boundaries in Dating, Boundaries in Marriage, Boundaries with Kids, and Boundaries for Leaders all by Dr. Henry Cloud and John Townsend.
In my opinion, mastering the ability to connect and build relationships with diverse personalities is one of the most valuable skills one can acquire. This book provides practical guidance and strategies for enhancing interactions with others in both personal and professional settings.
Being a girl mom is a wonderful blessing and a dream come true for many mothers. However, the journey of raising a daughter from infancy to adulthood can be challenging, and many moms find it difficult to navigate. In "Mother to Daughter," a short and insightful read, Melissa and Harry offer essential lessons to guide you as you raise your daughter through each stage of her growth.
It's time to let go of the myth that having a lot of money is a “man’s thing” and embrace the journey to becoming a financially empowered woman. Too often, women find themselves divorced and financially unstable after years of dedicating themselves to marriage while their partners built themselves. Even though I’m not an advocate for divorce, I strongly believe that women should have the means to take care of themselves financially. In a marriage, it's important for women to be actively involved in the family finances rather than simply trusting their partners to handle everything.
Financial education is a must, not just a “rich people problem.” Being financially illiterate can leave you vulnerable to financial abuse, but being savvy with your money ensures you stay in control of your life. You don't have to put up with abuse because you need financial support.
"Smart Women Finish Rich" is all about empowering you as a woman to achieve financial success on your own terms.
Remember when you were a kid, living life with a carefree spirit and boundless imagination? You had passions that made you happy, and you could spend all day immersed in them. As you grew older and started school, you gradually lost that childlike side of you and began focusing on fulfilling other people's expectations.
But what if I told you that those childhood passions were actually gifts from God meant to be your life's work? Many of us end up doing jobs we hate just to earn a living, while neglecting our God-given talents. Are you looking to reconnect with that childlike side of yourself? If so, Mastery by Robert Greene is the book for you. This book guides you in rediscovering your calling and becoming a master in your field, allowing you to earn a living by using your unique gifts.
If you've ever questioned whether God is real or wondered who He truly is, this book is for you. In Imagine Heaven, John Burke shares powerful interviews with people from around the world who have had near-death experiences and encountered Jesus—many of them not even Christians. Their descriptions of what they saw align perfectly with the visions in the Book of Revelation. After reading this, you'll see God in a whole new light.
Since this month we’re discussing weddings, here’s a must-read book for all my single girlies ready to meet their Boaz.
This month, our theme is trusting God. Throughout the Bible, from Adam to Jesus, we see a consistent pattern in how God deals with His children. His process is the same for each of them. We'll be focusing on the story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50—a powerful example of God giving a promise, guiding him through a process, and ultimately fulfilling every promise He made.
This workbook is designed to help you reflect on 2024, come up with a vision for 2025, set clear goals, and create a strategic plan for 2025. With a focus on aligning your actions with God’s purpose for your life, this workbook encourages intentional growth in all areas—work, relationships, friendships, mommy life, fitness & wellness, and your relationship with God. It’s a tool for self-reflection, God’s guidance, and practical goal-setting, aimed at helping you live with purpose, clarity, and alignment with God’s will for your life.
A discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.
